2025 Achievements
At WLEET NGO, we are committed to promoting environmental awareness and responsibility while empowering communities to embrace sustainable practices. Our conservation initiatives focus on tree planting, ecosystem restoration and fostering community participation, all aimed at contributing to climate change mitigation through afforestation.
In 2025, we proudly achieved a significant milestone by successfully planting approximately 2,000 cashew trees in Zinga, Bagamoyo. This effort brought together community members, students, teachers and volunteers in a collective treeplanting exercise that not only improved environmental sustainability but also created future income opportunities for local families. Through this project, we promoted environmental awareness and strengthened community participation in conservation efforts, ensuring that both ecological and socioeconomic benefits go hand in hand.
Looking ahead, the expected impact of our conservation project includes increased tree cover and biodiversity, reduced environmental degradation, enhanced household incomes through cashew production, and improved resilience against climate change.
